「水滴の拷問」とは拘束した囚人の頭に一定時間ごとに水滴を落とすとそのことしか考えられなくなりついには発狂してしまうらしい、という話ですが、”Annoy-a-tron”はその電子版のようなもの。本体は6cm×3cmで厚さ数mm程度でどこにでも設置でき、スイッチを入れると2分～8分おき高い電子音を鳴らします。

使い方はターゲットの側に隠すだけ。鳴るタイミングが数分に一度だけ、しかもすぐに途切れてしまうためどこで何が鳴っているのか分からず、うまい場所に隠せば気になって仕事どころではなくなります。
